DIMETRODON

Of course, I couldn't have enough dinosaur toys as a kid. I remember one Christmas getting a big purple rubber Dimetrodon. I imagined these dinos to be huge. To my surprise, on my last trip to the Museum of Natural History in New York City, I realized they really weren’t so big after all. Fossils are closer to a large alligator or crocodile. Not sure how many little green Army men my purple Dimetrodon ate, or how many other dinos he ate, but it was a lot! No matter how much he ate I guess he couldn’t eat a T-Rex after all. But they have that damn cool fin on their back! In my book that counts a lot, and it’s way fun to draw.
